2026 Open Enrollment - September 15, 2025 - October 10, 2025

What you can do during Open Enrollment:

• Re-confirm your current benefit elections
• Add/cancel/change your medical, dental, or vision coverages
• Enroll or re-enroll in an FSA (required annually)

Important: You must log into ESS during the Open Enrollment period, even if you aren’t making changes!

New in 2026

• New CalPERS pharmacy partner, CVS Caremark
• New Healthcare FSA contribution limit, $3,300

• No Re-Entry of Existing Dependents' Social Security Numbers – If you are keeping the same dependents on your benefits plans, you no longer have to re-enter their social security numbers on the Open Enrollment page(s) in Employee Self Service (ESS) - we already have them stored in the system! You will only need to enter a social security number for a new (not covered on your benefits) dependent that you are adding during open enrollment. Be sure to review the Open Enrollment instructions booklet on the ESS Open Enrollment page for details.
