L.A. GOAL is a nonprofit organization in Culver City that has been supporting adults with developmental disabilities (our “Members”) through educational, vocational and social programs since 1969. Volunteering with L.A. GOAL is a joyful, enriching experience that creates a reciprocal sense of accomplishment. We are incredibly grateful for our amazing volunteers who make a significant impact in the everyday lives of our Members.
We have potential opportunities for volunteers in the following areas:
Art
L.A. GOAL’s art studio, Inside Out Productions, employs our Members as Paid Artists. We are seeking Art Volunteers on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and twice a month on Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Volunteers can assist for the full day or half day.
Ideal volunteers are experienced in either: Fiber Art (sewing, weaving, or other fiber art skills), Fine Art (painting, drawing, collaging, mixed media, or other fine art skills), and/or Digital Art. As an Art Volunteer, you may work one-on-one with our Members to support their creative visions, and/or assist our Art Staff with tasks in the studio.
Social Media
Social Media volunteers can assist in creating engaging social media content for our Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. We are seeking Social Media volunteers who can come in at least once per week, between 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Dance/Fitness
We are seeking volunteers experienced in any area of dance or fitness. If you are interested in leading a brand-new class, such as Yoga, Hula Dancing, Hip Hop or anything else, we are open to new ideas!
