The City Council is pleased to invite your participation in a Public Hearing concerning the following:
WHO: Culver City Planning and Development Department
WHAT: City-Initiated Zoning Code Amendment to Culver City Municipal Code Chapter 15.10 – Subdivisions, and Chapter 17.400 Residential Uses – Accessory Dwelling Units, to conform with recent State laws that will: (1) permit the addition of accessory dwelling units in qualified ministerial lot subdivisions and small lot subdivisions; (2) remove owner-occupancy requirements for junior accessory dwelling units; and (3) permit the separate sale and conveyance of accessory dwelling units as condominiums.

WHEN: Monday, February 9, 2026, at 7 PM.
WHY: The purpose of the Public Hearing is for the City Council to review and receive public input on the proposed updates to the Municipal Code, and act on the text amendment.
CEQA: Pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Title 14, section 15183 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, the proposed amendment is within the analyzed development potential of the Culver City General Plan 2045 EIR, and no further environmental review is required. Pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080.17, zoning code amendments implementing State ADU provisions of Government Code Section(s) 66314 and 66333 are exempt from CEQA.
The Culver City Agenda and Project staff report will be available for viewing at City Hall and online no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time.
