The City of Culver City has begun the process of updating its 2018 Plan to Prevent and Combat HomelessnessTo update the plan, the City is seeking input from community stakeholders, including people who live, work and take part in the Culver City community.

The City will host several sessions in January 2026 to gather input and build on the goals accomplished since 2018. All members of the Culver City community are welcome to participate. Meeting details and Zoom links are listed on the Culver City community calendar.

Community members are invited to attend input sessions scheduled:

  • Saturday, January 24th from 11 AM - 1 PM in the Patacchia Room at Culver City City Hall (1st floor)

Additionally, representatives from the business, faith, education, health, social services and other community sectors are invited to attend the following virtual sessions:

Since declaring a homeless emergency in January 2023, the City has taken unprecedented steps towards solving homelessness, and continued working to complete all the goals included in the Culver City 2018 Homeless Plan.

Most significantly, Culver City has reduced the number of people living on the streets through a holistic, responsive and comprehensive approach to service delivery and housing that prioritizes leading with care. The Culver City 2024 Homeless Point-In-Time (PIT) Count revealed that 115 persons were unhoused on the streets of Culver City, a 32% decrease from the 158 persons counted in 2023 and a 66% decrease from the 229 unhoused persons counted on the street in 2022.
