The Planning Commission is pleased to invite your participation in a Public Hearing concerning the following:
WHO: City of Culver City Advance Planning Division
WHAT: City-Initiated Zoning Code Amendment to Culver City Municipal Code Section 17.220.015, Mixed Use District Land Uses and Permit Requirements, and Section 17.540.010, Applicability, to implement programs of the 2021-2029 Housing Element and conform to State law, including a requirement that mixed use projects on Sites Inventory properties provide residential uses for a minimum of 50% of the total floor area, and allowing ministerial approval of residential or mixed use projects with a minimum of 20% of residential units affordable to low-income households.

WHEN: Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 7 PM.
WHY: The purpose of the Public Hearing is for the Planning Commission to review and receive public input on the proposed updates to the Municipal Code and make recommendations to the City Council.
CEQA: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, the adoption of the proposed Zoning Code Amendment is exempt per Section 15061(b)(3) because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment.
The Planning Commission Agenda and Project staff report will be available for viewing at City Hall and online no later than 72 hours prior to the meeting date and time.
