SKATESIDE FEST Returns to Culver City May 30–31

The community is invited to enjoy the 4th Annual SKATESIDE FEST, returning to Bill Botts Park on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM each day.

This free, family-friendly event celebrates skateboarding, roller skating, youth empowerment, culture, and mental wellness. Hosted by THE SKATESIDE, the festival brings together families, skaters, local organizations, small businesses, and community partners for a high-energy weekend of activities and entertainment.

THE SKATESIDE has introduced skateboarding to more than 10,000 kids since 2015. This year’s expanded two-day festival will feature beginner skateboarding lessons, skate contests, live music, DJ sets, roller skating activities, giveaways, demonstrations, and community activations.

Professional skateboarder Antwuan Dixon is scheduled to make a special appearance, along with Jeff DeChesare and other featured skate talent throughout the weekend. Saguaro Counseling will also participate as the festival’s Official Mental Health Partner, supporting the event’s focus on youth and family well-being.

Weekend Highlights

Saturday, May 30

Saturday’s programming will focus on participation, progression, and fun for all ages, including:

• Beginner skateboarding lessons
• Age-based skate contests
• Live music and DJ sets
• Special roller skate performance by Willow Rose, six-time USA Roller Sports National Champion and gold medalist
• Impala Skates giveaway, with free roller skates given out to attendees throughout the event

Sunday, May 31

Sunday’s programming will highlight skate culture, creativity, and community, including:

• Freestyle skateboarding demo by Waltz Skateboarding
• Pool Skate Jam featuring skaters across multiple skill levels
• Open skate sessions and live activations
• All Day Community Day with families, skaters, and local organizations
• Additional Impala Skates giveaways during the roller skate dance party

Limited Edition Festival Shirt

In collaboration with OPENLATE, THE SKATESIDE will debut an exclusive, limited edition SKATESIDE FEST shirt created for this year’s event. The shirt will be available during festival weekend only, with pre-orders available online and a limited number of shirts released onsite while supplies last.
