You’re invited to join City Manager Odis Jones for a new series of community conversations focused on one of the most important topics facing our City: the budget.
“Let’s Talk Budget, Culver City” is an opportunity to be part of a thoughtful, community-centered dialogue about priorities, values, and how decisions are made.
Upcoming Sessions
These sessions will be structured as small group table discussions, where participants will:
This is not a presentation or formal hearing, it’s a guided conversation. While City staff will be present to support the discussion, the focus is on listening and learning from the community.
“Our first meetings together provided me the insight to what you want prioritized in our beautiful City," said Jones. "We’re getting back to the basics, ensuring we have a balanced budget, a focus on maintaining streets, sidewalks, and alleyways, as well as improvements to our City parks. These informative, engaging sessions will help bring the community together to understand our roadmap ahead and our commitment to continue listening to you.”
Feedback gathered during these sessions will be synthesized and shared with City leadership to help inform ongoing budget conversations and decision-making by the City Manager and City Council.
If you want to see what was discussed by the community in our first five meetings, you can read a recap of the discussions on the City's website.
Your voice plays an important role in shaping Culver City’s future. We hope you’ll join us.
