Clean Power Alliance's 100% Green Power is the default electricity rate option for the Culver City community, providing 100% renewable power at competitive rates.*

But the choice is yours! 

 

While 100% Green Power is the default selection, if you decide this is not the best fit, you can change your service by selecting one of the Clean Power Alliance’s other rate option.

Power Share Discounts

Do you qualify for a 20% discount on your electric bill?

The Clean Power Alliance Power Share Program offers a 20% discount for income-qualified customers who live in specific areas.
Customers must be enrolled in the CARE or FERA programs.

Power Response Smart Home

Save energy and money by connecting your smart device.

Residential CPA customers can participate in this demand-response program by registering their eligible smart connected device. Participation reduces energy use collectively, creating more sustainable communities and making the electrical grid more reliable.

Power Response Home Program

Earn money by reducing your electricity use.

 By participating in the Power Response Home Program, residential customers can earn money during Energy Saving Events, which occur during times when energy demand is unseasonably high.

 Power Response Program participants will be asked to temporarily reduce their electricity usage and receive financial incentives to do so. This reduced energy usage can decrease stress on the electricity grid and help lower greenhouse gas emissions.

EV SmartCharge Program

Do you have an EV vehicle that you charge at home?

 Residential customers can receive up to $260 in benefits in their first year of enrolling in the EV SmartCharge program.

Remembering to charge at off-peak hours can be tricky. CPA helps users charge when energy is less expensive, cleaner, and abundant. Simply plug in your vehicle and the CPA system automatically charges it during the most cost-effective hours.

Sun Storage Rebate

Do you want to invest in solar energy?

 You can increase your home’s electrical reliability, reduce new carbon emissions, and invest in your home.

The Sun Storage Rebate offers CPA residential customers up to $750 (with an additional $250 for income-eligible customers) when they install an eligible solar battery storage system in their home.  

This offer is limited to the first 1,000 applicants.

Power Response Commercial Leaders Program

The Power Response Commercial Leaders Program incentivizes companies to actively reduce their energy use during times of high energy demand. The more electricity you save during a Commercial Energy Saving Event, the more you can earn.

Participating customers can manually adjust their systems or connect a smart device.

CPA will work directly with your business to create a custom plan that works for you.

What is the Clean Power Alliance?

The Clean Power Alliance is a nonprofit entity made up of 35 public agencies across Los Angeles and Ventura counties—including Culver City—working together to bring clean, renewable power choices to our communities. In 2017, the City of Culver City voted to join Clean Power Alliance to bring the power of choice to our community.

Clean Power Alliance Rate Options

LEAN POWER CLEAN POWER 100% GREEN POWER

Provides 40% clean energy. Lean power is the most affordable option, comprised of a mix of renewables and zero-carbon hydro power.

Provides 50% competitively priced renewable energy. Clean Power supports building a cleaner future with 50% renewable energy plus zero-carbon hydroelectric power.

Provides 100% renewable energy. Lead the way to a greener future with 100% renewable energy from wind, solar, and geothermal sources. Pay a small premium for emissions free electricity and make the world a better place.

 

Green Power is Culver City's default option. No matter what option you choose, Culver City enjoys the shared benefits of the Clean Power Alliance including:

How Does the Clean Power Alliance Work with SCE?

Clean Power Alliance purchases clean power and Southern California Edison (SCE) delivers it.

  • SCE delivers power to your home or business
  • SCE is responsible for resolving any issues with your electricity service
  • Call SCE to start or stop your service
  • SCE sends one bill and provides account services
  • SCE rebates and incentives will continue to apply
