Culver City’s vibrant arts community continues to bring exceptional performances to local audiences. These performances are made possible in part by the City of Culver City and its Cultural Affairs Commission, with support from Sony Pictures Entertainment and the Culver City Arts Foundation.

We Can Do It! – A Family Musical Performance

We Can Do It! is a one-hour, family-friendly musical inspired by the real Rosie the Riveters of Los Angeles. Commissioned by The Ebell of Los Angeles and its Living Herstory Project, the performance celebrates the women who stepped forward during World War II and discovered the power of working together.

With music by composer Brooke deRosa and a libretto by Velina Hasu Houston, this inspiring production brings history to life for audiences of all ages.Learn about the We Can Do It! musical performance on the City's website.

Family Jazz Hour with the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra

Enjoy an evening of live jazz featuring a quintet from the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra. This special performance celebrates the centennial of two legendary jazz artists, Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

The Symphonic Jazz Orchestra is a nonprofit dedicated to transforming communities through music education and performance. In addition to presenting community concerts, SJO provides music instruction to elementary and middle school students throughout Los Angeles County.

Brazilian Block Party Featuring Viver Brasil

Join Grand Performances for a lively Brazilian Block Party in the heart of Culver City. This free, family-friendly celebration features the vibrant rhythms of Viver Brasil’s Samba in the Streets.

The afternoon begins with music from DJ Potira, followed by two high-energy performances by Viver Brasil celebrating Afro-Brazilian dance and music. Guests are invited to join a dance workshop led by the performers—no experience necessary.

A Working Title of Disparate Parts – Work-in-Progress Showing

Join Ghost Road Company for a special work-in-progress showing of A Working Title of Disparate Parts, a new devised performance exploring identity, connection, and shared humanity.

Conceived and directed by Ghost Road ensemble member Ronnie Clark, the piece brings together ensemble performers and guest artists in a deeply personal and collaborative exploration of the experiences that shape us. Through movement, storytelling, and performance, the work seeks to uncover threads of hope, empathy, and connection within moments of grief, fear, and loss.
